PDF Tools: practical guide
Pick an operation based on the desired document: merge combines files, organize changes page order, split or extract saves selected pages, rotate changes orientation, and crop changes the visible page area. Preview the output and confirm page count before sharing it.
Worked example
To save pages 2–4 from a 10-page document, use extraction and check that the result has three pages. Cropping a page may hide content while leaving it in the file; it is not the same as securely redacting text. Use a dedicated redaction workflow for confidential information.
What to check before relying on a result
Text extraction requires a text layer; scanned pages may need OCR, which this tool may not provide. PDF files can contain hidden content, metadata, forms, or signatures that are affected by editing. Keep the original, inspect the exported file, and verify sensitive documents with a trusted PDF application.
