Privacy Policy
This page explains what data Toolhaus collects and how it's used. The short version: almost every tool processes your input entirely in your browser, and the site does not use tracking cookies.
Advertising
Toolhaus may show ads served by Google AdSense. Depending on your settings and location, AdSense can use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

Analytics
We use Azure Application Insights to see aggregate traffic and which tools get used, so we know what to improve. It's configured cookie-free: no cookies are set, and page-level data is collected without a consent banner. It does not capture the values you type into a tool.
How tool data is handled
Most tools: local-only
The large majority of tools — PDF, image, text, formatting, encoding, date/time, and most calculators — do everything in your browser using JavaScript running on your device. Your input, files, and results are never uploaded or sent to Toolhaus or anyone else.
Five tools call an external API
A few tools need live, real-world data that can only come from a third-party service. When you use one of these, your input (not your identity) is sent to that service to get an answer:
- Currency Converter — sends the amount and currencies to ExchangeRate-API to get live exchange rates.
- Crypto Price Checker — sends the coin and currency you select to CoinGecko to get the current price.
- Weather Checker — sends the city name you enter to Open-Meteo to get current conditions.
- IP Address Lookup — sends the IP address to ipwho.is to get its approximate location and network info.
- DNS Lookup — sends the domain name you enter to Cloudflare's DNS-over-HTTPS resolver to fetch DNS records.
These services are called directly from your browser. Toolhaus does not store the inputs or results of these lookups.
No accounts
There's no sign-up, no login, and no server-side database of what you've entered or generated. Favorites and preferences are stored only in your own browser.
