Image Cropper
Crop an image to an exact rectangle by pixel coordinates.
Trim an image to the region you want by entering the top-left position and the crop width and height in pixels. Values are clamped to stay inside the image, and you can preview before downloading. Runs entirely in your browser.
Drop an image here, or
Upload an image, then enter the crop position (X, Y) and size (Width, Height) in pixels — X and Y mark the top-left corner of the crop box, and the width and height extend to the right and downward from that point. Adjust the numbers until the live preview shows the region you want, then download the cropped image.
Common mistakes
- Treating X and Y as a percentage of the image instead of an absolute pixel offset.
- Assuming X and Y mark the center of the crop box rather than its top-left corner.
- Entering a width or height that extends past the image's edge — the crop is automatically clamped, so the result can end up smaller than expected.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop to a specific size?
Yes. Enter the exact crop width and height in pixels along with the top-left position.
How are the crop coordinates measured?
X and Y are pixel offsets from the top-left corner of the original image, not from its center. Width and height then extend to the right and downward from that point.
What happens if my crop box goes outside the image?
The tool automatically clamps the crop rectangle to the image's bounds, so if X, Y, width, or height would extend past an edge, only the portion inside the image is kept.
Does cropping reduce image quality?
No. Cropping only selects a region of the original pixels; it doesn't resample or compress the image, aside from the usual JPEG/WebP quality applied on export, the same as the original.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. Cropping happens entirely in your browser using canvas; the image file never leaves your device.
