Weather data is provided as-is for general information.

Type a city name into the search box and press Search to see its current weather. The result shows live temperature, general sky conditions such as clear, cloudy or rain, and wind speed for that location. If your city doesn’t appear or the wrong place shows up, add the country name for a more precise match.

Formula & methodology

The city name is geocoded via Open-Meteo, then current conditions are fetched for those coordinates.

Assumptions

  • This shows current conditions only; it is not a multi-day or hourly forecast.
  • The search returns the first city match, so common names shared by multiple places (e.g. Springfield, San Jose) may resolve to the wrong location unless you add the country.
  • Data comes from the Open-Meteo weather model rather than an official national weather service, so it can differ slightly, especially during rapidly changing conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Which units are used?

Temperature is shown in Celsius and wind speed in km/h, as returned by Open-Meteo defaults.

Why does my city not appear?

Try a larger nearby city or add the country name. Very small places may not be in the geocoding database.

Why did it find the wrong city?

The lookup uses only the first geocoding match for the name you typed. If several cities share that name, add the country, e.g. "Paris, France" instead of just "Paris", to get the right one.

Does this show a multi-day forecast?

No. This tool displays only the current conditions at the moment you search. It does not request or display hourly or multi-day forecast data.

How accurate is this compared to my local weather service?

The temperature, wind and condition come from Open-Meteo’s public weather model, which is generally reliable but is not the same as official observations from your national weather service, so small differences in exact values or timing are normal.
