Formula & methodology
tip = bill × tip% ; total = bill + tip ; per person = total ÷ people

Assumptions
- The tip percentage applies to the bill amount you type in, so if you want to tip on the pre-tax subtotal rather than a total that already includes tax, enter that subtotal.
- The per-person amount divides the total bill plus tip evenly across everyone, regardless of who ordered what.
- There's no built-in "standard" tip rate — customary percentages differ a lot by country and situation, so pick whatever fits where you are.
